LCF Small Groups

Small groups normally meet in homes and are an important part of our Fellowship, giving members opportunity to meet together and build relationships

Our small groups are Christ-centred and aim to develop our relationships both with God and with each other. We encourage members’ participation, the development of their gifts and we value the Word of God and prayer.

Each group has its own identity and format but all seek to honour Jesus, care for group members and pray for needs both within and outside the group.

If interested in finding out more about the current range of small groups, please contact Hugh McAllister at smallgroups@lisburncf.co.uk

Hugh’s Group

A home group runs fortnightly on Thursday evenings in Hugh and Hilary's home. This is a group containing folk from LCF and a few other churches. Although the main emphasis is on hearing from God, sometimes in unusual and creative ways, having fun and building relationships/friendships are key aspects of the group. Over the next period of time we plan to focus on parables to explore their message and application for today's living.

Ken and Lisa’s Group

Our group runs fortnightly on Wednesday evenings in our home with friends from LCF and other places. We usually start with coffee and chat and this is followed by a time of worship together. What then follows is a combination of bible study, discussion and prayer, maybe more singing and probably more refreshments. Usually this gives an opportunity for more discussion on what we’ve been considering and it also give opportunities for friendships to be developed and for some to share things that are going on in their lives for which we can prayer or offer practical support. We’ve looked at the life of Abraham, Moses and considered the subjects of Giving and Guidance. We’re now looking at what it means for a Christian to be a Citizen of the World and to take an in-depth look at The Lord’s Supper.
